Delicious. I just used regular dry onion soup mix (Knorr's brand has too much sodium), also added 1 pack Herb-Ox Beef bouillon (has no salt) - plus a little from a Beef Au Jus pack for all the extra beef flavor. Love the posts with small individual changes - gives great idea's.

This recipe was amazing and so simple. It will be great for a company meal as I can spend time on the other courses.

This made an easy and very flavorful dinner. The cooking time was a little off for my crockpot though. Even at 10 hours the roast wasn't quite as tender as I would have liked. I did throw some baby carrots in and they cooked just fine. I thickened the gravy with cornstarch as another reviewer suggested and made a big pan of mashed potatoes. I didn't have any noodles on hand but maybe I'll try that next time. Thanks for a great recipe!

I loved the tenderness and moist juiciness of the roast when it was done. The simplicity of the recipe is excellent, too. Low and slow is the way to get the roast cooked easily.

I added 1 cup of red wine, baby potatoes, carrots, and baby corn. It is in the crock-pot cooking right now. I will update on how it turns out. Looks really good.

I use red wine instead of water. It gives it a real rich taste. I add onion soup mix and combination seasoning. I use carrots, potatoes, and onions. After it falls apart, I put it over egg noodles.
