SOMETHING DIFFERENT SWEET ROLLS | |
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (without the pudding) 2 pkgs. dry yeast 5 c. flour 2 1/2 c. hot water Mix well, cake mix, yeast and flour. Stir hot water into mix and mix well. Let rise until double in size (about 1 1/2 hours). Roll into rectangle shape on floured surface. Spread with softened butter an sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll into jelly roll and cut into 1 1/2 or 2 inch slices. Place in pan and let rise again to double size (about 1 hour). Mix topping and spoon over rolls. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. TOPPING: 1 stick of butter 6 tbsp. white Karo syrup 6 tbsp. brown sugar About 2 cups of nuts |
