ESCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 1/2 c. milk
8 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 pt. oysters
crackers

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place half of the crackers in bottom of a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Add half of the oysters. Dot generously with butter. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add 3/4 cup of milk. Repeat. Top with cracker crumbs.

Bake 30 minutes.
