“MOXIE WINGS” IS IN:

MOXIE WINGS
1 1/2 lb. chicken wings (cut at joint with tips removed)

Marinade:

1 (12 oz.) can regular Moxie soda (1 1/2 cups)
2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 medium onion, peeled
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 garlic cloves, crushed
salt and pepper, to taste

Put all marinade ingredients into a blender or food processor and process until smooth.

Put marinade into a zipper box with chicken wings and refrigerate for up to 3 hours before cooking.

Wings may be grilled or broiled. If grilled, use the indirect cooking method (chicken is place over the second burner which is not lit, or over the cool side of the grill).

Cook until wings are tender and juices run clear when pierced with a fork, about 20 to 25 minutes.

I agree. When people are aware a certain unusual or different ingredient may be "regional" or only available in their own area why can't they explain this & what it is. We may have something similar but goes by another name. Many food products are regional. Explain what it is or what it does. Please keep this in mind for the rest of us. What in heaven's name is "Moxie"???

Moxie is soda pop found in Maine - its more bitter than cola, but cola might work.
