DROP DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. lard
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Mix ingredients and drop by spoon into boiling broth. Cook 10 minutes in open kettle then 10 minutes with cover. Serve. Note: For fruit dumplings, add 1 egg and sugar to taste.
