SOFT OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream together butter and sugar. Add molasses, eggs and vanilla beating well. Mix in flour, oats, baking powder and baking soda; mix well. Add in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by well rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
