1 box instant yellow cake mix (your choice)
1 (12 oz.) can Coke (or other flavored cola drink)
1 large egg
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (or shortening)
1 container vanilla frosting
1/2 cup chocolate shavings
1 cup fresh strawberries or other fruit
mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°F following the directions on the back of the cake mix box. First add the yellow cake mix and then your choice of cola. This works best with the dark colas such as Coke, Mr. Pibb and Cherry Coke! Add the next ingredients regularly like you would any cake mix. Put in a small baking pan and bake at 350°F.

After 30 to 35 minutes check the cake with a toothpick, if the center is clean then it it time to remove the cake. Wait until cooled then frost the cake.

Apply the fresh berries and the mint garnish.

Makes a full cake to serve 6.

Variation: Cut into brownies for classic Cola brownie bites!
