INDOOR BARBECUED SPARE RIBS WITH
SAUCE
 
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/4 c. oil
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. white vinegar
4-5 lb. pork spare ribs
2 tbsp. honey
2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. Liquid Smoke
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. dry mustard

In saucepan, saute onion in oil until transparent. Add remaining ingredients except spare ribs. Mix well. Simmer 15 minutes.

Pour over spare ribs in large glass baking dish; let stand 1 hour, turning occasionally.

Arrange on shallow rack or broiler pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Turn ribs and baste with remaining barbecue sauce two or three times during baking. Cut in portions to serve. Serves 4.
