CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 sm. head of cabbage
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can tomato soup
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1 can water (tomato soup can)
1/2 c. rice, uncooked

Chop cabbage in large pieces and place in bottom of greased 3 quart casserole. Brown meat and onions, pour off fat. Stir in rice, salt and pepper. Pour meat over cabbage and spread with spoon. Mix tomato soup and water and pour over mixture in casserole. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until cabbage is soft. Serves 4 to 5.
