SCALLOPED CORN AND OYSTERS | |
2 cans yellow kernel corn (not creamed) 1 lg. jar fresh oysters 3 eggs 2 (or more) cups milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Crackers Into greased casserole put a thin layer of crushed crackers. Top with 1 can of corn, salt and pepper. Crush a thin layer of crackers over this, and lay oysters on top. Add another can of corn and a layer of oysters then a thin layer of cracker crumbs. Beat eggs and add milk and pour over casserole. (Add more milk if this doesn't quite cover all. Dot with butter and bake in 350 degree oven until lightly browned and custard sets. |
