CANNED FRUIT COCKTAIL | |
Into a large bowl mix all kinds of chopped fruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, 1 or 2 jars cherries, grapes until you think you have 7 pints or 7 quarts. You can put in whatever fruit you want. Mix well. Pack into sterilized jars. Make a thin syrup of 2 cups water to each 1 cup sugar, depending on how many jars you have. Add: syrup, slide knife around inside edges of jars to release bubbles. Wipe off tops of jars with dry cloth. Add the lids and covers. Put in hot water bath for 1 hour. |
