COLD OVEN CREAM CHEESE POUND
CAKE
 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tbsp. flavoring

Cream butter and cream cheese together; add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, then flavoring. Bake in greased 10-inch tube pan. Place pan in cold oven, then set temperature at 300 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 35 minutes.

SECRET: All ingredients should be left out of refrigerator for 2 hours before preparing cake.

What a beautiful cake that is perfect with ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream, chocolate sauce or just by itself. I used regular flour but sifted it first. Also let it bake @ 10 minutes longer than the recipe suggests as initially the cake didn't spring back when I touched it to check for doneness. Fantastic
