PEA SOUP 
Dried green peas or split peas
Water
1 sm. onion
Ham bone
Salt and pepper
1 c. scalded milk or cream

Wash and soak peas for about 1 hour. Measure, add 4 times as much water as peas, onion and ham bone. Simmer until soft. Season with salt and pepper and add milk or cream. Cook 5 minutes more and serve.
