CORN FRITTERS 
1 c. fresh corn, drained
1/4 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 egg
Pinch of soda
Buttermilk

Sift together flour, cornmeal and soda. Add corn and egg and gradually add enough buttermilk for a semi-stiff batter. Spoon in a hot skillet and brown on both sides.
