MEAT LOAF 
2/3 c. bread crumbs or oatmeal
1 c. milk
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 eggs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sage

Bake 1 hour, 350 degree oven.

MEAT LOAF SAUCE:

4 tbsp. catsup
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. mustard
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Place on meat loaf 5-10 minutes before meat loaf is done.

Also good served on the side.

Evelyn uses 1 (16 ounce) can of tomato juice instead of sauce when loaf is baked, add one bouillon cube to 3-6 tablespoons flour and put on loaf for old German topping.
