CHERRY DUMP CAKE 
1 can cherry pie filling
1 can crushed pineapple
1 box white or yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 sticks butter

Dump pineapple and cherry filling in the bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Over this, dump cake mix evenly. Spread nuts over top. Melt butter and pour evenly over cake mix.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.

I have been making this cake for years and it is always a huge crowd pleaser. I add a small can of coconut sprinkled on the top along with the pecans. Often I substitute pecans with walnuts. It is so easy and delicious that I keep the ingredients on hand for a "spur of the moment" need for a dessert.
