WAIKIKI MEATBALLS | |
1 1/2 lb. hamburger 2/3 c. bread crumbs 1/3 c. diced onions 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/4 c. milk 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 can pineapple chunks, drain and save juice 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/3 c. green peppers Mix thoroughly, beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger and milk. make meatballs and brown. When browned, spoon out as much grease as possible. In a small pan, mix cornstarch and brown sugar. Stir in reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce until smooth. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils for 1 minute. Pour over meatballs and pineapples and peppers and heat thoroughly. |
