1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
4 eggs
4 c. nuts, chopped
2 pkgs. dates
1 tsp. vanilla

Cut dates, mix with nuts. Mix flour and sugar, sprinkle some over dates and nuts. Beat eggs separately, mix yolks with dates, nuts and sugar. Add egg whites, flour and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
