1 c. whole dates, snipped
1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 recipe Cream Cheese Filling

CREAM CHEESE FILLING:

Beat together 2 (3 ounce) packages of cream cheese, 4 tablespoons butter and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar. Then fold in 1 cup chopped dates. If you desire you may glaze the finished roll with melted chocolate.
