CANDIED YAMS 
6 med. yams or sweet potatoes, peeled & cooked
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Melt butter in skillet over low heat. Blend sugar and salt, increase heat and bring to boiling. Add potatoes and cook over medium heat, turning potatoes. Cook for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are well glazed and thoroughly cooked.
