SARAH'S BEST HOMEMADE HOT
CHOCOLATE

1 tbsp. cocoa powder
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 c. milk
a bit of vanilla, if desired

Combine cocoa, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Heat it on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the paste from sticking to the pan. After about 1 to 2 minutes, add milk and vanilla. Mix it all together until it reaches your preferred temperature.

Very good. I added some mint extract and it was quite tasty. My 3 yr. old loves it. You can also crush peppermints and add them.

Super easy and tastes like packet only fresher with a stronger chocolate flavor. I had some homemade marshmallows that paired wonderfully with this easy and delicious perfect snow day beverage. Thanks!

Sarah Wright's homemade hot chocolate is super quick and delicious. It really warms me up on a cool/cold evening, and when you add mini marshmallows to your mug and stir them in, it creates a nice foam on top, and is creamy as well. I highly recommend it.

The dry ingredients and water didn't form a paste - it was more like a syrup. I followed the recipe exactly and it was just a little too sweet, so I ended up adding a little more cocoa powder and milk. Next time I'll just cut the sugar in half. Delicious. After I tried the cocoa I added some espresso to make a mocha. Absolutely amazing and so easy! It only took 10 minutes with all my adjustments.
