CUBE STEAK CASSEROLE | |
2 lg. potatoes, pared and sliced 2-3 med. carrots, sliced 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, partially thawed 2 med. onions, sliced 2 stalks celery, sliced 1 1/2 lb. cube steak, floured, browned and drained 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 can water 1 env. brown gravy mix 1 c. water Place layers of vegetables in the order given. Put in crock pot. Season each layer with salt and pepper. Put the browned meat on top. Mix soup, 1/2 can of water, envelope gravy mix, 1 cup water. Pour into crock pot. Cover, cook low 6-8 hours; high 3-4 hours. |
