M.J.'S EASY SAUERKRAUT CASSEROLE 
1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef or turkey
Chopped onion
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cans water
3/4 c. rice

Very lightly grease deep casserole. Drain sauerkraut and put on bottom of casserole. Then add half of the rice some onion and half of the meat which has been pinched into small chunks. Repeat with remaining rice, onion and meat. Pour tomato sauce and 2 cans of water over this. Salt and pepper to taste.

Bake covered at 350 degrees until it bubbles. Turn down to 225 degrees until done, about 1 1/2 hours.
