HAMBURGER-CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
4 c. shredded raw cabbage
1 can "Krauts" Bavarian sauerkraut, undrained
1 lb. cooked hamburger
1/2 c. diced onion
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1 c. uncooked long grain rice (not instant)
2 sm. cans tomato sauce
2 cans tomato soup
Pinch of basil seasoning

Cook hamburger, onion, and green pepper; drain off any grease. Layer cabbage and sauerkraut in 9x13 inch pan, then hamburger mix. Then uncooked rice. Mix soup and sauce. Pour over top of rice. Sprinkle basil seasoning on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-90 minutes.

I made as written and it did not turn out. The recipe did not say, cover the pan. The rice poking through the sauce was hard and uncooked. Second time, I added a generous shake of Janes mixed up salt to the meat mixture, and added 2 tsp Italian seasoning to the 2 cans each of sauce and tomato soup. Covered the pan. This time it was very good and will make it again.
