CABBAGE AND BEEF CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 tbsp. oil 1 chopped onion 1 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 3 tbsp. raw long grain rice 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup 1 (10 oz.) can of water 3 c. coarse chopped cabbage Brown beef in oil; add onion, salt, pepper and raw rice. Add soup and water. Mix well and cook gently 5 minutes. Put chopped cabbage into greased 2 quart casserole. Spread over bottom evenly, pour meat mixture over cabbage and spread to cover cabbage. Do not stir; let it be layered. Cover the casserole and bake two hours at 325 degrees. Serves 6. |
