CABBAGE BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 c. tomato soup
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. tomato sauce
4 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
Salt to taste

Brown beef with onion, cook until onion is transparent and beef loses redness. Stir in raw rice. As beef cooks, shred cabbage. Place in greased, shallow casserole. Place beef and rice mixture over cabbage. Mix soup, sauce, water, sugar, and vinegar together and pour over all. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
