MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
4 qts. popped corn
1/2 c. peanuts (opt.)
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Put popcorn into a large brown bag (grocery bag will do). Combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt into a 2 quart casserole. Microwave 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute until mixture boils. Microwave 2 additional minutes. Take out and add baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture over popcorn in bag. Close bag and shake; return bag to microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake again. microwave another 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Pour into roaster pan to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
