The best way to make this smoothie thicker and tastier is to use frozen strawberries and frozen bananas and eliminate the ice. I'm not a fan of putting ice in smoothies. Frozen fruit is the way to go. Also, add some low-fat vanilla yogurt. Put more strawberries (frozen), no ice and the same amount of banana (frozen) because banana is very strong and tends to overpower any other fruit.

It was great.. only I added a handful of blueberries and used vanilla soy milk instead of regular milk... mmm :)

Instead of milk I put in 1/2 a cup of chocolate soy milk (Silk) and a little honey and it turned out delicious! I only put in 1/2 a banana, 2 strawberries, and 2 ice cubes and it was the perfect texture/creaminess.

Very good! I made a few changes though. I only put a third cup of milk in it so it was a lot thicker which is how I like it and I didn't put any sugar in and it was delicious!

Had to find something to add some protein powder to for my 7yr old. who is loosing too much weight. Added a scoop of ice cream and more strawberries to disguise the powder taste and He likes it. Which is saying a lot since he doesn't 'like' much!

 Marcia (Illinois) says:
Half a cup of yogurt instead of half a cup of milk made the smoothie so yummy and thick! And way healthier than other suggestions of adding ice cream. I kinda sweetened to taste. Was delicious!

I'm sorry but this recipe is simple but no good. I feel that the bananas taste out weighs the strawberry 1000 to 1. I say add more strawberries, and some apple juice to the mix to bring out the flavors, and BAM! we have a great recipe there.

I put a tablespoon of sugar instead of 1 1/2 teaspoons. It makes it sweeter. I have a personal/single serving blender and used this same recipe and it fit in the whole thing. What I would call 1 serving, about 12 ounces.

I added a whole serving of strawberry banana yogurt to thicken the smoothie, more ice (it's 103 out) and about 8 strawberries...super delicious!

 Alexa (Michigan) says:
I loved it, well I added the sugar and it did not make a difference so I added a table of sugar on to that which made it the best!

Very good, but I added some yogurt, pomegranate juice, and a little vanilla extract.
