BOILED PEANUTS | |
People up north think they are terrible but that is because they either get the slimy ones in the can or they make them with raw or dried peanuts. Only green peanuts will work! 2 lb. fresh GREEN peanuts "for boiling" (not raw or dried) enough water to cover them salt (start slow, you can always add more) Put peanuts in large pot. Cover with water. Add a handful of salt. Boil, tasting every so often. When they are soft and sweet, they are done. Note: If they are not salty enough, let them set in the water awhile. They will get saltier. Submitted by: Sam Campbell |
