7-LAYER SALAD 
1/2 head of lettuce, washed, towel dried & torn into bite sized pieces
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. green pepper, chopped
1 red onion, sliced in rings
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed & drained
2 c. mayonnaise
8 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

In your prettiest glass bowl, layer one half of the cleaned lettuce, celery, green pepper, red onion rings, peas and finish by spreading the remaining lettuce on top. Mix the sugar into the mayonnaise and spread it over the salad. Sprinkle the cheese next and then the bacon. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or 6 to 8 hours.

DRESSING:

1 c. oil (you may use less)
1/2 c. catsup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. vinegar
1 sm. onion, grated
Sugar & salt to taste

Mix the above ingredients together and pour over the following salad:

1 small can sliced water chestnuts
1 (10 oz.) bag spinach
7 slices bacon, crumbled
