7 LAYER SALAD 
1 lg. head lettuce, shredded
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. onions, chopped fine
1 green pepper, chopped fine
) pkg. frozen peas, thawed, not cooked
1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 jar bacon bits

Layer in 13"x9" pan in above order. Use 1/2 of each and make 2 layers. Spread 1/2 of mayonnaise, cheese and bacon bits in the middle. Then do second layer the same way. It is best made 24 hours ahead, but don't have to. It will keep well in refrigerator.
