CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1/2 tbsp. baking soda 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 egg 3/4 c. flaked coconut 1/2 c. chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In large bowl, with electric mixer at low, cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla; beat until well blended. Add flour mixture; beat until blended. Stir in coconut, chocolate and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool. Store cookies in tightly covered container. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen. |
