OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. corn syrup
2 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/4 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. walnut pieces or raisins

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugar, butter, and corn syrup until fluffy. Add eggs and almond extract; mix well. Gradually add combined remaining ingredients; mix well.

Drop by a scoop size (50) about 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press in circles. Bake 14-16 minutes or until golden brown; cool 1 minute. Makes 3 dozen.
