1 c. finely chopped pecans
2 3/4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs

Grease and flour tube pan. Sprinkle bottom of pan with nuts. Add remaining ingredients except eggs. Mix well. Add 4 eggs, beat well. Pour into tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
