PECAN POUND CAKE 
4 eggs (slightly beaten)
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. pecans, chopped

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients together; add to above mixture gradually. Add nuts. Pour in greased tube pan. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
