I just found this site today and I have laughed until my stomach hurts! Of course, I am an "old foggie" (75 yrs. old) and I cannot believe people post such silly stuff on a computer site!

I have never made a TT recipe and I also have never laughed so hard on a recipe site. Sounds like so much fun to try all these different versions. Has anyone ever tried it with tuna instead of hamburger??

Oh my my! I have laughed so hard until tears were coming out of my eyes. I had to call my 16 yr. old son in to read the comments... he was laughing just as hard as I. Thanks for the good clean comments thus far; a real lighten-upper. "Laughter (clean) is like a medicine." My son later said we need to go get some milk, and I added: "and tater-tots". I want to try this recipe. I would think the reason this recipe is called "Tater-Tot Casserole" is because it is named after one of the major ingredients, which is tater-tots. Great day to everyone.

LOL, I have never made TT Casserole and I have almost never looked up a recipe on line. What a fun experience, I love Facebook - reminds me of that. I don't have TT and town is about 15 miles away, so I will use shredded taters. Thanks all for the chuckles.

Love the tot, try waffle fry potato skins, Help...I'm looking for a dumpling recipe that you bake, not boil for chicken. Had them once at a family style resturant in Wisconsin, years ago, miss them so, I dislike the squish from the boiled ones.

How funny! I was just looking around for lunch ideas for tomorrow and this is what I find! LOL I think I will make tator tot casserole for lunch using tots of course and meat and I will even go so far as to add a little diced pickled jalapeno peppers to spice it up a little! Never thought to try making this dish without meat, but one day soon I will as a side dish.

Was just checking out the tater tot recipe, to see if it was different than our regional recipe (hamburger, cream of mushroom and/or chicken, canned green beans/corn, topped with tater tots) and was surprised to find the recipe-rage going on. Rather disturbing, yet very entertaining! My cousin covers the hotdish with foil during baking as she likes the tater tots moist. I like it with some moist and some crisp, so I press the taters down into the mixture and bake it, uncovered, at 425°F until done. I hope this recipe is not offensive....

Dana, it sounds really good with bacon :) I have to agree with many here, there really is no way to screw up a tater tot casserole. Im making it next week, with bacon!
