MOIST ONE LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 cup oil
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup buttermilk (dissolve 1/2 tsp. baking soda in buttermilk)

Melt butter, add cocoa and stir until dissolved. Add water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside. Beat eggs. Add sugar (beat) then flour, 1/2 cup oil, buttermilk, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into oblong baking pan and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Frost while hot.

Frosting:

1 stick butter
1 box confectioners sugar, #4
4 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped

Melt butter. Add cocoa and sweet milk. Bring to boil. Then add powdered sugar and nuts. Beat well. Pour over cake while hot.
