HOT GERMAN MUSHROOM SANDWICH | |
2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. milk 3 tbsp. white wine 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 c. sliced fresh or canned mushrooms 1 loaf French bread 6 slices ham 6 slices Swiss cheese Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, stir until smooth. Slowly add milk and wine. Cook over low heat and stir until thick. Add mushrooms and mix. Slice bread on angle; top each slice with ham. Spread with sauce and top with cheese. Place under broiler until cheese melts. Serve hot (must be eaten with fork). |
