IRENE'S CRISP CUCUMBER SALAD 
4 or 5 cukes, thinly sliced
2 onions, thinly sliced
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
2 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. salt

Mix cukes, green peppers, and salt. Let stand 2 hours. DO NOT DRAIN. Add sugar, vinegar, and celery seed. Can be made ahead. Will stay crispy in refrigerator (tightly covered) a good week.
