2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shape into small balls and roll in sugar. Press with glass and bake until light golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
