APPLESAUCE CAKE #2 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. canned applesauce
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
2 eggs

Put dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add Crisco, water, applesauce and eggs. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl often, then fold in nuts and raisins. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch springform pan (or angel cake pan) and bake about an hour at 350 degrees.
