2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. shortening
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs, vanilla and shortening and half of cake mix until light and fluffy. Add remaining cake mix, fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

For chocolate chocolate chip cookies, same as above except use chocolate cake mix.
