EASY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. shortening
1 pkg. Pillsbury white cake mix
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs, vanilla, shortening and about half of the cake mix (dry) until light and fluffy. Stir in remaining cake mix, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. (Cookies will be soft in the centers when done. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Yield: 5 dozen cookies.
