PORK CHOW MEIN 
1 1/2 lbs. pork
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lg. onion, cut into wedges
1/2 c. water
1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
2 c. bean sprouts
1/3 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. ginger
Cooked egg noodles or rice

Cut pork into pieces. Brown in pan. Sprinkle with salt. Add onion and water. Cover tightly and cook for 45 minutes. Add cabbage and bean sprouts and cook for 10 minutes. Blend soy sauce with cornstarch and ginger in bowl. Gradually add to pork mixture. Cook until thick. Stir occasionally. Makes 6 servings. Serve on egg noodles or rice.
