WHITE ICING (NEVER GETS HARD) 
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
Pinch of salt (optional)
1/2 c. of shortening
1/2 c. sugar

Cook until thick, then cool. In mixer add 1/2 cup shortening and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat until creamy.

Add cooled flour and milk mixture to creamed mixture of shortening and sugar; and beat 6 minutes at low speed. Any desired flavoring can be used. (Can add color, also.)
