TURKEY WITH APPLE SLICES | |
Excellent way to prepare something as simple as a turkey cutlet. This is my actual Thanksgiving turkey. I live alone, but still love the holidays and prepare favorite foods. My Thanksgiving turkey is wonderful - without a ton of leftovers. I prepare green beans and sweet potato casserole with this. Apple or Pecan pie as dessert. You CAN live alone - eat well and enjoy the holidays. I would not change this for any reason. Good movies - good music, but especially good food. 2 turkey tenderloins or cutlets 1 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. maple syrup 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar 1 tsp. Dijon mustard 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules 1 medium tart apple, sliced Skillet: cook turkey in butter (medium heat) for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until juices run clear. Remove from heat - cover - keep warm. Same skillet: Add maple syrup, vinegar, Dijon mustard and chicken bouillon. Stir. ADD APPLE SLICES. Cook and stir (medium heat) for 2 to 3 minutes or until apple is tender. Spoon over turkey. Submitted by: Phyllis Chittum |
