2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. water
1 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
2 egg whites

Boil sugar, Karo syrup and water together until it crackles in water. Beat whites of eggs stiff and gradually pour on hot syrup, beating constantly. When mixture begins to stiffen, add nuts and drop by teaspoonful on wax paper or put in buttered platter and cut into squares.
