HARVEST STEW 
1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
2 tbsp. bacon fat
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. cooked lima beans
1 c. corn
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 c. diced carrots
2 c. tomatoes
1 c. elbow macaroni
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp. parsley

Brown beef cubes in hot fat in a heavy kettle. Add tomatoes, parsley and bay leaf; simmer about 1 hour. Add salt and the remaining ingredients and simmer slowly another hour until the beef is tender. Serve with hot rolls and a favorite salad.
