EARTHQUAKE CAKE | |
1 German chocolate cake mix Coconut Pecan pieces 8 oz. cream cheese 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Layer coconut and pecans in pan. Prepare cake mix as per directions on box. Pour into pan on top of coconut and pecans. Cream powdered sugar and cream cheese. Drop by spoonfuls onto top of cake (prior to cooking). The icing will be inside the cake, due to this you will have to cook longer than the mix calls for. It forms craters. I usually turn my oven down approximately 25 degrees and cook at least 15 to 30 minutes longer than called for. When you check with a toothpick, try to put into cake and not into icing. |
