GERMAN MEATBALL & NOODLE
CASSEROLE
 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, minced
1 egg
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
2 c. med. egg noodles, cooked
1 tsp. caraway seed
1 (16 oz.) jar sweet & sour red cabbage

Cook noodles as directed, drain and set aside. In medium bowl combine first seven ingredients. Shape into 1" meatballs. Brown meatballs well in broiler pan. Add meatballs to undiluted beef broth and simmer for 15 minutes. Put cooked noodles in separate saucepan and toss with caraway seed. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In 2 quart casserole place meatballs and liquid, then noodles. Top with red cabbage. Bake, uncovered 30 minutes or until casserole is heated through. Yield: 5.
